ASSESSMENT FEE
Evaluation fee: 400 euro/student (payment will be made according to BNR’s exchange rate)
*Paying the fee will not grant the enrolment of the student in the LTSM programme, who can deny the admission if the special educational needs of the student cannot be met by the school..

For grades I – IV, admission to our school is conditional on obtaining a minimum of a BINE grade in each subject assessed and the psychosomatic test is eliminatory.
For the preparatory class, admission is based on the competences attained, necessary for adaptation to the school environment at LTSM. Students who have attained more than half of the target competences in each subject out of the total competences assessed (half + 1) are accepted. In English, a minimum of Well/Bine is required.
Stage I
Written test in subjects:
Romanian language
Mathematics
English language.
The duration of the assessment is approximately 3 hours and a minimum of mark 7 in each subject is required for promotion. The subjects Romanian and Mathematics assess the educational items that must be fulfilled at the time of the test, according to the national curriculum standards, while the English subjects check the language skills (writing, speaking) according to our high school standards.
Cambridge English language exam diplomas which are equivalent to the LTSM English language test:
Grade 5: Cambridge YLE Flyers Diploma, with a minimum of 11 marks, but no less than three marks/test,
Grade 6: Cambridge KET Diploma
Year 7: Cambridge PET Diploma
Year 8: Cambridge PET or FCE diploma
Stage II
Psychosomatic test and interview with one of the school counsellors (eliminatory test). If the number of candidates exceeds the number of places available, the principle of ranking of best results will apply.
Grade IX
Case 1:
National Assessment exam average between 9.00 and 10.
1. Interview with the School Counsellor
2. Cognitive Ability Assessment Test, CAT4.
Case 2:
Enrolments made before the National Assessment or if the average obtained in the National Assessment is less than 9.00 the following steps are taken:
1. Written test in the subjects:
– Romanian language, Mathematics, English language (students applying for Real Profile/Science);
– Romanian, English (students applying for Humanities/Social Sciences).
The LTSM English language test may be equivalent to the Cambridge PET or FCE diploma.
Admission average: minimum 8.
2. Interview with the School Counsellor.
3. CAT4 Cognitive Ability Test. CAT4 admission score: minimum 100 points.
Additional admission criteria:
1. grade point average for grades V-VIII: 10;
2. the average obtained in the National Assessment must be at least 7.50;
If the number of candidates exceeds the number of places available for enrolment, an admission competition will be held, applying the principle of the hierarchy of best results.
Grades X-XII
1. Written test in subjects:
– For Real Profile Natural Sciences: Romanian language, mathematics, 3rd subject of BAC;
– For Humanities Profile Social Sciences: Romanian, History, English, 3rd subject of the BAC;
The LTSM English language test can be equivalent to the Cambridge PET or FCE Diploma.
2. Interview with the School Counsellor.
3. CAT4 cognitive skills test.
CAT4 admission score: minimum 100 points.
Additional admission criteria:
Grade point average for grades V-VIII: 10;
If the number of candidates exceeds the number of places available for enrolment, an admission competition will be held, applying the principle of ranking the best results.
Year 10-11
Admission requirements for internal students:
- A minimum score of 5.00 in the Checkpoint exams and/or an average of over 9 in the National Evaluation
- Obtaining a score of more than 100 points in the CAT4 cognitive abilities test
- A grade average of 10 in conduct in previous school years
Admission requirements for external students:
- A minimum score of 5.00 in the Checkpoint exams and/or an average of over 9 in the National Evaluation
- Obtaining a score of more than 100 points in the CAT4 cognitive abilities test
- English language test or at least a Cambridge certification with a PET diploma
- The student and their family are compatible with the philosophy, ethos, and values of LTSM
- A grade average of 10 in conduct in previous school years or positive references from the previous school
Year 12-13
Admission requirements:
- The applicant must have completed IGCSE/GCSE exams with at least a grade B in the subjects they wish to continue at AS and A level. If certificates are not available at the time of application, the results from mock exams will be considered.
- Obtaining a score of more than 100 points in the CAT4 cognitive abilities test
- Interview with the Director of LTSM International
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 2024-2025
The programme includes:
2 Full Performance Scholarships for students enrolled in 9th grade in the 2024 - 2025 school year.
3 Partial Merit Scholarships worth 30% of the annual tuition fee (2400 EURO), for students enrolled in the 9th grade in the school year 2024 - 2025.
2 Partial Merit Scholarships worth 30% of the annual tuition fee (2400 EURO), for students enrolled in grades V-VII school year 2023-2024.
The application form for newly enrolled students (9th grade) will contain:
2. Application form (to be completed by both parents/legal guardians);
3. Recommendation from the principal/
deputy headmaster of the institution (with signature and stamp).
4. Copy of identity card/birth certificate.
MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 9th graders scholarship application:
Grade 7 graduation average is 10.00;
OR
Very good results obtained in the school Olympiad (at least the stage per municipality) in Romanian language, mathematics, English language, computer science (with a preponderance in grade VII - school year 2022 - 2023 and grade VIII);
AND
English language certificate. minimum Cambridge PET.
MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR secondary level students:
Graduation average for the 2022-2023 school year is 10.00;
Very good results obtained in the school Olympiad (at least the stage per municipality) in Romanian language, mathematics, English language, physics, chemistry, biology, in the previous school year;
Written test in Romanian language and mathematics. The tests will be developed by a subject development committee made up of LTSM teachers;
CAT4 cognitive skills test;
Interview with the school counsellor.
For the Performance Scholarship (full scholarship) the student must obtain an average of 10 in the Romanian language and mathematics tests.
For the Merit Scholarship (partial scholarship) the minimum average on the written test must be 9.50.
GENERAL CRITERIA FOR GRANTING SCHOLARSHIPS TO LTSM STUDENTS
Grade 10 – LTSM test for Romanian, Mathematics, English,

Grade 10 in the National Assessment Exam

CAT4 (Cognitive Ability Test) score 70% above the school population average;
First prizes in the national stages of national or international technical-scientific school Olympiads or competitions in the subjects: mathematics, Romanian, history, geography, logic, physics, chemistry, biology;
portfolio of examination results and extracurricular activities.
For students who have not attended LTSM courses:
grade 10 in the LTSM test: REAL Profile – Romanian, Mathematics, English, subject 3 BAC and HUMANITIES Profile – Romanian, History, English, subject 3 BAC.
CAT4 (Cognitive Ability Test) score 70% above the school population average.
Or
For LTSM students: grade 9 – graduation average of 10.
And
First prizes in the national stages of national or international technical-scientific school Olympiads or competitions in the subjects: mathematics, Romanian language, history, geography, logic, physics, chemistry, biology;
portfolio of examination results and extracurricular activities.
For students who have not attended LTSM courses:
grade 10 LTSM test: REAL Profile – Romanian language, mathematics, English language, discipline 3 BAC and HUMAN Profile – Romanian language, history, English language, discipline 3 BAC.
CAT4 (Cognitive Ability Test) score 70% above the school population average.
Or
For LTSM students: grade 10 graduation average for the previous school year and 3 (three) IGCSE A* exams
And
First prizes in the national stages of national or international technical-scientific school Olympiads or competitions in the subjects: mathematics, Romanian, history, geography, logic, physics, chemistry, biology;
portfolio of examination results and extracurricular activities.
For students who have not attended LTSM courses:
grade 10 LTSM test: REAL Profile – Romanian language, mathematics, English language, subject 3 BAC and HUMAN Profile – Romanian language, history, English language, subject 3 BAC.
CAT4 (Cognitive Ability Test) score 70% above the school population average.
Or
For LTSM students: grade 10 graduation average in the previous school year and 3 (three) AS A* exams
And
First prizes in the national stages of national or international technical-scientific school Olympiads or competitions in the subjects: mathematics, Romanian, history, geography, logic, physics, chemistry, biology;
portfolio of examination results and extracurricular activities.
For students who have not completed LTSM courses:
minimum score 9.50 LTSM test: REAL Profile – Romanian, Mathematics, English, subject 3 BAC, and HUMANITIES Profile – Romanian, History, English, subject 3 BAC.
CAT4 (Cognitive Ability Test) score 50% above the school population average.
Or
For LTSM students:
A grade 10 graduation average of the previous school year for LTSM students in grades VI, VII.
In the case of students enrolling in LTSM in grade XI – have obtained the overall average of the National Assessment exam in grade VIII at least 9.30 and a grade 10 for behaviour in the secondary school level.
and meet two of the following three conditions:
they have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the municipal stages of national school Olympiads and competitions organised by the ME or 2nd or 3rd place in the national stages;
they have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the municipal stages of national technical-scientific competitions organised by the ME or other institutions.
have obtained at least one prize awarded by the LTSM in the category: Student of the Year, Most Awards, Școala Mea Ambassadors.
2% for Mention Prize in the Municipality stage
3% for Prize III in the Municipality stage
4% for the 2nd Prize in the Municipality stage
5% for Prize I in the Municipal stage or Mention National stage
6% for Prize III in the National stage
7% for Prize II in the National stage
8% for Prize I in the National stage
30% of the annual tuition fee if the following conditions are met:
the average of graduation of the previous school year is 10 or a grade 10 in the admission test organized by LTSM.
has at least two prizes in national olympiads (Romanian language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology).
CAT4 test score is 50% higher than the school population average.
- 5% of the annual tuition fee for students with an average score of 9.30-9.50 in the National Assessment exam.
10% of the annual tuition fee for students whose average score in the National Assessment exam is between 9.51-9.75.
20% of the annual tuition fee for students whose average score in the National Assessment exam is between 9.76-10.00.
30% of the annual tuition fee for students whose average score in the National Assessment Examination is 10 and who meet both of the following conditions:
they have obtained the I,II,III prize at the municipal Olympiad stage in the subjects: Romanian language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology.
the CAT4 test score is 50% higher than the school population average.
Study scholarships represent 50% of the tuition fee for students enrolled in LTSM, which:
have an average monthly income per family member for the last 3 months of not more than 3000 lei,
a grade point average for the previous school year above 9.50 and a grade 10 in the behaviour area.
at least the first prize in the municipal stage of national school Olympiads or competitions in one of the following subjects: Romanian language, mathematics, chemistry, physics.
Social aid scholarships represent 70% of the annual tuition fee for students who have lost one or both parents, or students with illnesses that require expensive treatment and expose the family budget to the inability to pay tuition.
