Elementary School

Școala Mea expands the national curriculum with extracurricular programs created to ensure a better understanding and assimilation of the theoretical notions taught to children:

  • 7 monthly transdisciplinary educational programs, carried out in museum spaces;
  • 3 Bricks 4 Kidz educational programs;
  • Multicultural education program “Globe Culture” – school assembly;
  • “My Parent, My Hero” – entrepreneurial education program with parental involvement;
  • Expanding the national curriculum with British curricular themes: ICT, Drama, Stretch & Grow, Friday Thematic Clubs;
  • Weekly themed clubs covering a wide area of ​​knowledge: GameOn, Saveur & Co, I play, we play, Inside Out, CaleidoMap, Ying Yang, Papiermache;
  • Thematic weeks (cross-curricular activities): Science Week, “Ludikon” Theater Gala, Cultural Week, Open Doors, Otherwise Week.

The annual educational program of class 0 includes weekly sessions created around the following objectives:

  • Cognitive development and knowledge of the world (nature, earth, space) through thematic workshops held at: Grigore Antipa Museum of Natural History, Botanical Garden, National Museum of Geology, Bricks 4 Kids;
  • Psychosocial and emotional development through: interaction, involvement and experiment;
  • Developing vocabulary, communication skills and creating the premises for reading / writing by participating in: theater performances and workshops held in libraries, bookstores, etc.
  • Awareness of cultural and national identity through workshop lessons held at the Museum of History, the Military Museum, the National Museum of Art, the National Museum of the Village.

Școala Mea participates in school competitions authorized by the Bucharest School Inspectorate and organizes special additional training hours: Gazeta Matematică Junior, Comper.
Școala Mea ensures the preparation and participation of students in English language competitions and exams: Spelling Bee, Junior Public Speaking, WordFest, Cambridge YLE, Trinity.

Middle School

Școala Mea expands the national curriculum with unique extracurricular programs designed to facilitate the understanding and assimilation of theoretical notions taught to students:

  • 5 monthly transdisciplinary educational programs, carried out in museum spaces: “Earth Dynamics” physical geography lessons for 5th grade – National Museum of Geology; “Biomechanics and anthropometry” physics lessons for grades VI and VII – National Museum of Natural History;
  • “Experimental Physics” practical workshops – physics applications for sixth and seventh grades – House of Experiments;
  • Multicultural education program “Globe Culture” – school assembly;
  • “My Parent, My Hero” – entrepreneurial education program with parental involvement;
  • Expanding the national curriculum with British curricular themes: drama, thematic clubs held on Friday;
    • Thematic weeks (cross-curricular activities): English Week, Science Week, Drama Week.

Programul educațional anual al clasei pregătitoare cuprinde sesiuni săptămânale create în jurul următoarelor obiective:

  • Dezvoltarea cognitivă şi cunoaşterea lumii (natura, pământul, spaţiul) prin ateliere tematice desfășurate la: Muzeul de Istorie Naturală Grigore Antipa, Grădina Botanică, Muzeul Național de Geologie, Bricks 4 Kids;
  • Dezvoltare psihosocială şi emoțională prin: interacțiune, implicare și experiment;
  • Dezvoltarea vocabularului, a abilităţilor de comunicare și crearea premiselor citirii/scrierii prin participare la: spectacole de teatru şi ateliere de lucru desfășurate în biblioteci, librării, etc.
  • Conştientizarea identităţii culturale şi naţionale prin lecții atelier desfășurate la Muzeul de Istorie, Muzeul Militar, Muzeul Naţional de Artă, Muzeul Național al Satului.

Competitions

Școala Mea ensures the preparation and participation of students in:

  • English language contests (Spelling Bee, Esu – Junior Public Speaking, WordFest);
  • English language exams: Cambridge KET, PET, FCE, Trinity;

Clubs

Clubs are an opportunity to experience new sports or non-sports activities and to discover passions that we can follow all our lives. The costs are included in the tuition fee.

  • 5th Grade – Friday 15.05 – 16.30 Theater, History, Trivia, Cooking, School Band, Table Tennis, Football, Athletics, Imagination & Construction Club, Fashion and Design Crafts.
  • 6th and 7th grade – Friday 15.50 – 16.30 Dance, School Band, Table Tennis, Football, Athletics, Filmmaking, Imagination & Construction Club, Choir and Singing.

High School

Liceul Teoretic Școala Mea carries out activities to extend the curriculum with an interdisciplinary approach in the scientific and cultural fields:

  • Science courses in partnership with the University of Bucharest;
  • Thematic weeks: English Week, Science Week, Drama Week.
