OBJECTIVES

Investigative instruction causes students to develop the skills to research the information they need for intellectual development. Liceul Teoretic Școala Mea encourages high school students to approach reflective learning, which involves building their own system of analysis and creation, the ultimate goal being the acquisition of intellectual autonomy of complete and complex knowledge.

LTSM develops students’ ability to process the information they accumulate by helping them to identify, understand, and make logical connections between their own ideas and arguments, detect reasoning errors in arguments and debates, and build and perceive the justifications behind opinions or beliefs.

Respecting different opinions is a principle that LTSM students learn through contact with various cultures by joining our programs, organized in collaboration with schools in different countries.

Liceul teoretic Școala Mea proposes the development of the entrepreneurial spirit of its students through various entrepreneurial education programs:

  • “My Parent, My Hero” – entrepreneurial education program that involves parents;
  • Community learning programs, by organizing extracurricular activities supported by partners in various fields of economic activity (Financial education programs supported by banking institutions, Volunteer Programs or Fundraising Events).

Education for social responsibility guarantees the social integration of the personality of the educated throughout his existence. An important component of it is moral education, which determines the formation of personality through civic values such as: autonomy, internal motivation to perform actions, human solidarity, valuing integrity, etc.
Cultural education provides awareness, knowledge and competence and thus promotes communication and cooperation in the community. The programs of Liceul Teoretic Școala Mea use the cultural and social concept as an indispensable element in the instructive processes, as follows:
The Peer Mentoring Program and the Student Council, cohesion programs of the LTSM student community, through which they share educational and cultural experiences and initiate and practice the formation of community leadership skills.
LTSM students are regularly involved in internal volunteer activities aimed at supporting charitable projects. These take place through traditional events: Drama Week, Cup of Good Hope, Christmas Fair, Talent Show.
Volunteer programs in partnership with various economic actors or cultural bodies are also manifestations of social responsibility (Joy at the Box Project, Conferences on educational topics, etc.).

Admission Policy

The international section operates based on an admissions system designed to ensure that all applications throughout the year receive equal treatment, regardless of the child’s gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, nationality, culture, or religious beliefs. However, our admissions process is also intended to ensure that the educational system we promote and provide is the best fit for your child.

The structure of the upper secondary school:

  • 14+ years – Year 10
  • 15+ years – Year 11
  • 16+ years – Year 12
  • 17+ years – Year 13

First step

Parents interested in joining our school will have the opportunity to find out more about the school through the following sources: the school website, meetings with the Admissions Officer, school visits and meetings with the Head of School. It is very important that parents carefully read the policy on the website and ask questions for clarification during the visit and meetings with LTSM staff involved at this stage. To begin the application process, please complete the online application form. Once completed, the LTSM admissions team will contact you to support and guide you through the admissions process. We accept admissions throughout the school year.

Second step

Schedule an appointment
As a first step in the admission procedure, the Admissions Manager arranges a visit to the LTSM educational campus with the parents/legal representatives of the students, during which the Admissions Officer provides clients with comprehensive information about LTSM’s educational offer for the targeted enrollment segment (primary, middle, high school) and about LTSM’s support services related to the educational program
Please note that prior to viewing the LTSM educational campus, clients (parents, legal guardians of students) will sign a “Personal Data Processing Agreement”. This agreement will be filed/sent to the LTSM secretariat (contact@scoala-mea.com).
If no places are available, parents will be informed and placed on a waiting list (based on their written request) if they wish to be contacted by the school as soon as places become available.

Following this meeting, the parent or legal guardian of the child can express his/her intention to access the next specific stage of the admission process, namely the assessment of candidates.
In this respect, we would like to point out that enrolment for pupil assessment is facilitated once the parents have signed the document entitled “Agreement for assessment”. This form requires the parent or legal guardian of the child to agree to the general terms and conditions of enrolment at the school.

Third step

Parents must provide the following documents:
– Original medical letter from the family doctor and a copy of the vaccination record;
– Copy of the child’s birth certificate (copy of the child’s ID card or passport, if applicable);

The school commits to completing the assessment of the application and inviting the child and parents for the next stages of the evaluation process within the announced timeframe. The evaluation process timeframe will depend on the number of applications at that time and may take up to four weeks.

The purpose of the evaluation process is to identify the child’s academic achievements and potential, English language proficiency, and attitude towards learning and development. Fourth Step

The school will inform the parents of the results of the enrollment process, whether the application is eligible or not, within the timeframe set by the school.
